Beads and Shadow
.This is another painting from the woman in Alausi. I just could not help myself. I had to try the bead work again but this time in water colour marker. The detail was surprisingly easy to create with the water colour marker providing I paletted the paint and used it from the palette. I have found that working with high quality markers is a real challenge but the colour has been shockingly wonderful and so worth the effort.
I had to say that I feel very warm and fuzzy regarding this city and its closeness to the earth and each other. I love that the business sector helps to take care of the stray animals. I think that it shows a pride of their city but also having value and respect for those who dwell there including animals.
This portrait was created using Canson mixed media paper, A3 homemade gesso, Winsor and Newton water colour markers, Letraset Aqua markers.
