I met this man when we first got here in Banos. Our Spanish teacher was the director of a school/collegio and wanted us to experience the end of the year celebrations. This man asked me to take a picture of his grandchildren and himself as he was very proud of them and it was obvious he could not afford a camera. Later, I had them printed and for about a month I carried the prints in my backpack hoping to run into him, which of course I did. I gave then to him and told him they were a present for him and his family and walked away after he gave me a heartfelt hug. So since then whenever I run into him he always gives me a hug. This package of photos has paid me back in 7 years of hugs. This is his photo and picture that I will always carry in my heart as he has made my day so much easier so many times. I gave it to him today. He really liked it but he thought the picture of his cedulla was more dignified and would I do that instead. Just goes to show you how we see ourselves and how others see us. I see a very wonderful person who always has time for everyone and everything....Thank you Senor.
