So today is the day that I am doing the lay out on the painting but in the meantime this little bird was screaming to be created.

I don't know if you can see this but what I do first is do a rough drawing of good quality tracing paper, refine the drawing.  Then flip over the paper and draw in the existing lines on the opposite side.  Then I flip it over again or which ever side I like more and trace that on to finer drawing paper.  I do this so that the final drawing has fewer eraser marks and such.  I then fill in.  With whatever suits me or the drawing best.

As you can see I did both drawings in the same day for fun at Cafe Hood in Banos, accompanied with a wonderful latte.  They were ready for me to leave as it took quite a while to finish both project.

I wanted to give you the impression that this kind of meditation was so alive for me that this inspirational little bird was so into exploring the world that when it was complete, it then flew off the page and went about its business.

Maybe I am putting a little to much thinking in this but this is the kind of thing that goes through my fertile mind while I am drawing.....
Fulfill your creative soul today...
Robin

Hi there
Today I was attacked by my art studio minions.  The first to attack was a creation of my son's, steam punk Mr. Potato, (he always had a mind of his own, has authority figure problems), he gathered his forces, took over the paint brushes and canvas and commenced to destruction.   As you can see, they also ripped the camera out of my hands.  Even my GI Joe took my Dr. Who sonic screwdriver and had at'er.

I guess this is the less than obvious clue to get my butt into action and paint.  I actually do have a painting project to do, called "Cat Gate".  It is the last painting for the book.  I have got the layout design in my brain now and am ready.  I just have to put the camera in a safe place,.... maybe under lock and key.

I give in, painting commences tonight....
Keep creating
Robin

Do you remember making shadows on the walls when you were a kid?  Me too.  This was my favorite one the bunny.... Sometimes going down memory lane just involves something like this: how your hand moves.  I have very flexible and very thin long fingers and hand.  I showed this one to a friend and she said that I had done this completely wrong because hands are much bigger and stronger than those.  You are wrong she said with all conviction.  Then I showed her my hands and all she could say was, oh.

So that said we are not all alike and nor should we be but we should also be prepared to accept others and their differences.  It may just be that for once others may be right and you may be wrong.....  I work on accept others daily but sometimes it is hard.

This was at the Amarello Restaurant in Banos Tungurahua Ecuador, with yet again amazing coffee and time to create some fond memories.

Well, I turned 50 this year and a friend took me out for lunch to celebrate.  What goes better with presents, coffee and good company....... creating art inspired from your chat.

So this is what our chat created, cool art using the new banana paper and also using the peerless water colors with the water brushes.

I didn't have a photo of where we went for lunch so I used the photo off the restaurant off of their site.

This is also a nice restaurant, where the barista makes art on the foam of the coffee and makes nice crepe.

Really though to chat and hang out with friends, have you ever wondered what it would look like if you could draw the conversation, feeling and energy, well this is what it would look like.

Have wonderful conversations and create
