Hey there. So this is me playing. I took some of my old coloring books (that I made) and cut them out for fun in my art journal. This is one of the questions that happens with the coloring book trend. What to do with the coloring books? You can collage them in your art journal, frame them for your walls, use them for wrapping paper, make puzzles out of them, make place mats and lamps shades out of them. etc... All you need to do is let your imagination play.
hey there: I took a break from working on my final edit on my book, to play a little. I made this journal a while ago with some decent watercolor paper. This journal play page is a collage of using pictures from my own coloring book. Since these are my own drawings, I don't have to worry about things like copyright. This is what I used for play time. My home made pallete I made from a woman's pocket book, and magnetic make up pans. The paints inside are the mighty Qor watercolors. I also used Posca pens (which you can find here in Ecuador, in stationary stores), and the wonderful Art Pen fountain pen from Rotring. I hate using fine liners, these pens are fabulous and refillable with any fountain pen ink. Love them.
In regards to my book, if you are curious, I only have to do the book cover and it is DONE. This is 3-4 years in the writing and a lifetime of experiencing and experimenting. So if you want to see what the book is about, check out my facebook page. My name + art and that is my page. |
