This fellow comes to town selling honey. His honey has an interesting flavor, like much of the honey in this area. The honey has a hint of eucalyptus. There are many of those trees growing here and of course it affects the flavor of the honey. Who knew? In different areas, the honey tastes different. Some of the jungle honey has a deep floral flavor.
He has been selling his honey and honey products since we moved here. He is one of the faces that is an important land mark for me. He always has a welcoming smile and always remembers if you bought honey from him. That also means you have to go into negotiations with him to get a good price for your honey. But that is sometimes half the fun.
This painting was done using windsor & newton watercolor markers, black ink and white ink (uniball) and for the background dr. martins hydrus paint in spray. The work is on derwent watercolor paper for water color pencils, A4
