As I said before for this progressive post, this is from a woman who was outside of the Basilica in Banos de Agua Santa, Tungurahua Ecuador. I love sitting outside the church and people watching. They all have their reasons to come to my little town, but all it seems come to make sure they visit the church. I am not a church person myself but I love their emotions around their faith.
My biggest fear as always is if I can do another painting or will it be gone. I just hope that this painting honors this woman and her family. She has become one of my Unforgettable Faces, in my Unforgettable Faces Project. Now will be the hard part, to find her or her family and give it to them. This may take quite a while. I am planning on having an showing of these faces here in Banos in hopes to reach more people. My dream is to set up the paintings and have people come in and literally take their painting off the wall as a gift to them or their family. Then I get to share with them how much their face means to me and how beautiful that they are. Anyway, I have a few more faces to do before this can happen.... but that is my goal.
This painting was created on Canson mixed media paper, liquitex gesso, galleria matte medium, allllll kinds of paper: paper from tourist guides of the area, Ecuadorian news paper, wrapping paper, my 2 drawing from my coloring book, Dr. PH Martin Hydrus watercolor paint, rotring drawing ink, Winsor and Newton watercolor markers, Letraset Aqua markers, and Unibal white gel pen, there is Sakura white pen but not very much.
