Pujili
Yet another parade in Baños, Tungurahua, Ecuador.
This picture is of one of the traditional costumes from a city called Pujili. These gals are partnered with young men in boy versions of these costumes. Their dance is a coquettish, flirty, and smiley dance with lively colored costumes. I loved the pompons and tinfoil hats. They really happily work their way through the parade. All who look at them start to smile. These young people can really get the crowd going with their infectious happiness. I always look for these groups when the parades happen at Christmas. Love the color, love the enthusiasm, and love their dancing.
This was a coloured pencil playtime, I think I smiled the whole time and sometimes even laughed out loud. I really played with this painting. Love my Faber Castell polychromos coloured pencils.....love love love. Derwent water colour paper for water colour pencils A3
