Shoe Shine
This is one of the most photogenic men I have ever seen. If I were a fashion designer, I would have this fellow in all my mens fashions, and I absolutely know he would be amazing to show them all off. Instead, he is a humble, and oh, such a kind shoe polisher outside of the church of Baños de Agua Santa in the park.
You can see him most days, working and conversing with people of all walks. In my experience with him, I found him both amazing inside and out. When I gave him his painting, he gave me many thanks and blessings.
He was also one of those people who it seemed could not have a single bad shot taken. I took many photos and noticed how photogenic he was. Then I tried to take a bad shot of him and it seemed impossible. Some people are just meant to be in front of a camera. It made it all the more amazing when he was so friendly and kind.
He is one of the people who have made my memories of Baños de Agua Santa so special.
This painting is on A3 Derwent water colour paper for water colour pencils, and Winsor and Newton water colour markers, Letraset Aqua markers, black Rotring drawing ink (fountain pen) and Unibal signo white gel pen, collage papers, and acrylic matte medium.
